Makkah Defence Pact: A Step Towards Regional Unity, Says PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed optimism regarding the recent Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, emphasizing that it has fostered closer ties among Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Pakistan.
Signed during a trilateral summit on August 7, the agreement aims to bolster collective security and promote stability in the region. During a meeting with Saudi Minister Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley in Islamabad, PM Shehbaz highlighted the importance of strengthening economic and agricultural partnerships between the two nations.
He noted the need for strategic collaboration to enhance agricultural productivity in Pakistan, leveraging technology and efficient water use. A delegation of agricultural experts from Pakistan is set to visit Riyadh to explore further cooperation in these sectors.
