Tina Brown, a prominent author and former editor, revealed in a recent Substack column that the decision was made due to the overwhelming negative response.

Brown stated, "The backlash in the UK was so intense, it became untenable to go forward." Her comments come just a day after it was reported that Markle was in advanced talks for a role in the show's third season, which has yet to be renewed.

Markle, who last acted in 2017 before marrying Prince Harry, was to make her comeback with this series. The couple is in the process of relocating back to the UK, with Brown noting that this acting opportunity played a crucial role in their decision.
