As the aftermath of catastrophic floods continues to wreak havoc in Nepal, authorities are issuing urgent warnings of potential new flooding. On August 30, 2026, water levels in the Bhotekoshi River surged, prompting alerts sent directly to residents' mobile phones, particularly in the hardest-hit areas.
