Noah Wyle Questions Paramount's Potential Move Out of California

Noah Wyle expressed hope that David Ellison’s threat to relocate Paramount Pictures from California is merely posturing. At the HBO Max Emmy Nominee Celebration in Los Angeles, Wyle remarked, “I can’t think of anything that would less engender you to the population of this industry than to say you’re going to take Hollywood out of Hollywood.”

Ellison’s warning comes as Paramount faces pressure due to an antitrust lawsuit from twelve states regarding its merger with Warner Bros. Discovery. Unless a resolution is reached with California’s attorney general, Rob Bonta, a move could start as soon as October.

While Paramount hasn’t finalized a new location, options like Georgia, Texas, and Tennessee are on the table. Wyle also highlighted the positive economic impact of the industry in California, citing his show “The Pitt” as a contributor to local job creation and economic growth.
