Nômade Temple Ibiza: A New Era of Luxury Hospitality

By Editor • August 21, 2026 • 3 min read

In the picturesque northern region of Ibiza, the Nômade Temple Ibiza emerges as a bold new destination, redefining luxury hospitality with its 182 rooms and a rich array of amenities. The hotel, a transformation of the old BG Portinatx Beach Club Hotel, combines elements of relaxation, creativity, and cultural engagement, all designed to honor the island's original spirit.

Owned by ARD Investment and operated by the Mexican hospitality group Nômade People, this property features an impressive lineup, including multiple dining options, an expansive 810 square meter spa, and a unique performance space inspired by M.C. Escher. Set against the stunning backdrop of Portinatx, guests can explore nearby beaches, indulge in wellness activities, or partake in workshops ranging from breathwork to jewelry making.

The architectural vision behind Nômade Temple Ibiza is the brainchild of Oneness, the in-house studio led by architects Sebastián Sas and Bjarke Ingels. The redesign focused on creating a harmonious relationship between the hotel and its coastal surroundings. Retaining much of the original structure, the design incorporates larger openings for natural light and ventilation, while beautifully integrating local materials such as piedra blanca and sabina wood.

The heart of the hotel revolves around its main building, which has been reimagined as a social hub featuring the Portinatx Villa, lofts, and dining spaces. This area is characterized by its repeated arches, which soften the overall scale and enhance views of the lush landscape and serene waters. The rooms themselves range from intimate spaces to luxurious oceanfront suites, each uniquely designed to foster a sense of connection with nature.

For an unforgettable stay, guests can book the Portinatx Villa, a three-bedroom haven complete with an indoor sauna and private pool, or choose from various accommodations suited for families, creatives, or those seeking solitude. The diverse options ensure that every guest’s experience is personalized and distinct.

Dining at Nômade Temple Ibiza is a culinary journey in itself. The central restaurant, Tavla, emphasizes seasonal Mediterranean ingredients and communal dining, while Café Libre offers a cozy spot for morning coffee and light bites. For seafood enthusiasts, 4fu3gos showcases local catches prepared with an open-fire cooking style, drawing inspiration from Nômade’s Tulum roots. Additionally, Kuu Jū introduces an innovative blend of Japanese omakase techniques with Mediterranean flavors, promising an adventurous dining experience.

Guests looking to unwind can retreat to the Gön House of Healing, an 810 square meter spa cleverly integrated into the landscape to minimize its visual impact. The tranquil interior channels the essence of Ibiza's caves and offers a range of treatments including facials and guided water therapies. The spa's innovative programming is complemented by options such as astrology sessions, Pilates, and emotional freedom techniques.

As the hotel continues to evolve, the upcoming El Templo is set to enhance the wellness experience further, featuring a design inspired by Escher's artistic principles. With its focus on creativity, community, and connection to the island's natural beauty, Nômade Temple Ibiza stands out as a fresh beacon of hospitality on this beloved island.
