In an exciting move, Old Navy has officially launched its beauty line, Old Navy Beauty Co., expanding its offerings beyond fashion. This new venture follows a successful trial run in stores and aims to attract customers with budget-friendly body care and fragrance options.

The debut collection features seven unique scents, categorized into body lotion, hair and body mist, and body wash. Prices are set at $7.99 for smaller products and $14.99 for larger ones, making them accessible to a wide audience. The fragrances are crafted by renowned perfumer Jérôme Epinette, known for his work with luxury brands like Byredo.

Old Navy CEO Haio Barbeito expressed the brand's commitment to becoming a comprehensive shopping destination. "With Old Navy Beauty Co., we’re continuing to build a more complete omnichannel shopping destination for our customers," he stated, highlighting the brand's effort to simplify and inspire everyday shopping experiences.

The introduction of beauty products is part of a broader strategy by Gap Inc. to resonate with consumers, and early feedback from the pilot program indicated strong interest among customers. Deb Redmond, Gap Inc.'s Head of Beauty, noted that the youthful and playful nature of Old Navy's clientele made beauty a natural fit for the brand.

The collection includes vibrant options such as Gourmand Thrill, Fresh Splash, and Vanilla Crush, designed to be worn alone or layered. Epinette aimed to create fragrances that are both distinctive and enjoyable, noting that while he usually works with high-end brands, the artistry and craftsmanship remain the same regardless of price.

Among the scents, Epinette expressed particular pride in Vanilla Crush, which he aimed to differentiate from other vanilla fragrances on the market. He anticipates that Suede Embrace and Sorbet D’Lish will quickly become favorites due to their appealing characteristics.

In addition to its own line, Old Navy is also collaborating with well-known brands in skin care and makeup, enhancing its beauty presence. Redmond emphasized that the aim is to create a destination where customers can discover beloved brands alongside new products.

Looking ahead, Redmond is optimistic about the future of beauty within Old Navy, viewing this launch as just the beginning. The brand is eager to continue evolving and responding to customer preferences in this new segment.
