Peacock Streaming Service Implements Price Hikes Amid First Profit

NBCUniversal's streaming platform, Peacock, has announced a price increase across all its subscription tiers, marking the fourth rise in just four years. Effective from August 18 for new users and on or after September 17 for existing customers, the new rates will see Peacock Premium jump from $10.99 to $12.99 per month, while Peacock Premium Plus will rise to $19.99 from $16.99. The Peacock Select tier will also see a slight increase, going from $7.99 to $8.99 monthly.
This decision comes on the heels of Peacock's first-ever profitable quarter reported in Q2 2026, with a total of 48 million paid subscribers. Despite the price hikes, the service continues to offer a robust selection of sports, movies, and popular series.
