Shortly after, American Olympic champion Masai Russell claimed the spotlight by breaking the women's 100m hurdles world record, finishing in 12.09 seconds, thus eclipsing Tobi Amusan's former record of 12.12 seconds. Both athletes delivered unforgettable races, with dos Santos extending his winning streak over Warholm to five this season.

Adding to the excitement, Saint Lucia's Julien Alfred set a national record of 10.70 seconds in the women's 100m, a photo finish decision placing her alongside American Melissa Jefferson-Wooden. Meanwhile, Kenya's Emmanuel Wanyonyi clinched the men’s 800m title with a world-leading time of 1:41.76.
