Aryna Sabalenka, the two-time defending US Open champion, enters the tournament facing a precarious situation regarding her world No. 1 ranking. Currently, she has a slim 434-point lead over Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina, who is poised to claim the No. 1 spot if Sabalenka falters.

When asked about her confidence heading into the US Open, Sabalenka expressed optimism, stating, "Absolutely.
