A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a tragic shooting at a techno rave in Aarau, Switzerland, which left a 22-year-old Italian woman dead and several others injured.
The incident occurred on Sunday at a horse racing track, where police received reports of gunfire around 2:30 AM local time. The victim, Maria Spinelli, died at the scene, while four men and another woman were hospitalized with injuries ranging from minor to severe.
The authorities launched a nearly 24-hour manhunt for the suspect, who was apprehended shortly before 1 AM on Monday. Police stated that the investigation is ongoing, focusing on the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting. Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene, with one initially mistaking the gunshots for fireworks.
