Vietnamese Horror Film 'Lầu Chú Hoả' Set for North American Release

The chilling Vietnamese found-footage horror film, "Lầu Chú Hoả: The Deadliest Mansion," is making its way to North American theaters on September 4. Distributed by Mockingbird Pictures, the film will be shown across major chains like AMC, Regal, and Cinemark.

Directed by Hùng Trần, this film is significant as Vietnam's first theatrical found-footage horror release, achieving remarkable success since its debut in June. It garnered over one million admissions and surpassed VND78 billion (approximately $3 million) in box office revenue.

The plot centers around a group of young streamers who infiltrate the haunted Hứa family estate, hoping for fame but instead awakening a sinister force tied to the legend of the “Ghost of the Hứa Family.” Producer Lee Jin Sung highlights the film's immersive experience, aiming to resonate with international audiences and showcase a uniquely Vietnamese horror tale.
