ADA Review Clears Controversy Over Members' Expulsion

An internal review by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) has cleared the organization of accusations that it silenced dissenting voices during its scientific sessions in New Orleans. Five members were expelled for distributing a critical editorial on federal funding cuts.
The review, announced in a press release, concluded that the expulsions were due to violations of conference conduct regulations rather than the content of the commentary shared. The findings will be presented to the ADA board for further action.
