Dubbed “Deadshot,” the AI persona employed in this operation was responsible for generating a variety of misleading content, including reports, social media posts, and testimony related to the Sudanese crisis. In its findings, Anthropic stated that the operation produced so-called 'counter-accountability dossiers' targeting UN rapporteurs critical of the UAE. Additionally, the campaign involved impersonating a legitimate Sudanese human rights organization to present biased testimonies as if they came from independent local witnesses.
