Belkin Unveils Game-Changing Tracker with Built-in USB-C Leash at IFA 2026

At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Belkin has introduced a groundbreaking addition to the tracking device market: the SureFind Loop Cable Tag. This innovative tracker stands out with its built-in USB-C leash, setting a new standard for convenience and functionality.
Redefining Tracker Design
Unlike its competitors, which often require users to purchase separate accessories for attachment, the SureFind Loop Cable Tag integrates a functional USB-C cable as its leash. This means users can not only secure the tracker to their belongings but also use the leash to charge devices on the go. Priced at $24.99, the tag is lightweight and features a sleek teardrop design, complete with a single button and a status LED.
Power and Compatibility
Equipped with a 120mAh battery, the tracker promises an impressive six to nine months of tracking on a single charge, according to a Belkin representative, although this figure has not been officially confirmed. The tag is compatible with both Apple’s Find My and Google’s Find Hub, allowing users from both ecosystems to benefit without restriction. However, once linked to one system, users must continue with that choice to maintain functionality.
Design Insights and Limitations
Belkin's design approach merges the traditional leash and charging cable into a single unit, a concept that has been long overdue in the industry. The tracker’s cable can be unclipped for use, temporarily pausing the tracking function while it is detached. While this may be an acceptable trade-off for many, it’s a detail that Belkin has not heavily advertised. Moreover, the product lacks an IP rating, leaving potential users wondering about its durability against the elements, particularly for those who plan to use it with outdoor gear.
Launching in September across the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia Pacific, the SureFind Loop Cable Tag is poised to make waves in the competitive tracking market, especially following the recent releases of Apple's AirTag 2 and Google's Pixel Tag.
