The highly anticipated premiere of the new season of “Austin City Limits” features Brandi Carlile being inducted into the show's prestigious Hall of Fame. This remarkable episode, airing on PBS, showcases Carlile alongside the legendary Bonnie Raitt, creating a mesmerizing blend of two iconic voices.

During the hour-long program, viewers will be treated to a heartfelt rendition of Raitt’s classic, “Love Me Like a Man.” This collaboration is a highlight of the episode, which predominantly features selections from Carlile’s latest album, “Returning to Myself.” In a delightful bonus, fans can also enjoy a web-exclusive performance of John Prine's “Angel From Montgomery,” a song Raitt famously popularized in the 1970s.

As Raitt introduces Carlile, she expresses her admiration, stating, “There’s really no one quite like her,” praising Carlile's incredible vocal range and songwriting prowess. Carlile, reminiscing about her first trip to Austin over two decades ago, recalls her eagerness to find the iconic venue where “Austin City Limits” is filmed. The emotional connection to the city and the show is palpable as Carlile reflects on her journey in music.

In addition to the duets, the PBS episode also includes Carlile's covers of Alanis Morissette’s “Uninvited” and several original tracks from her recent album. As she wraps up her U.S. tour in San Diego on September 22, Carlile is set to release a unique reimagining of her latest work on September 25, titled “Returning to Myself… (Sad Gay Version).”
