Jonathan Anderson, the founder of the fashion label JW Anderson and creative director for renowned brands like Loewe and Dior, has been awarded the prestigious London Design Medal. "It is a true honour to be recognised by the LDF for my work within the field of craft and design, which have always been a personal passion of mine," Anderson expressed. Lifetime Achievement Medal for Sir Christopher Frayling

Sir Christopher Frayling has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Medal for his lifelong dedication to design education and cultural history. A former rector of the Royal College of Art, Frayling has significantly contributed to the academic landscape of design through initiatives like the History of Design postgraduate course. He commented on the festival's impact, stating, "Since 2003, the London Design Festival has been drawing the public's attention to the key importance of design in everyday life."

Innovative Vision of Anab Jain and Solveiga Pakštaitė

The Design Innovation Medal goes to Anab Jain, co-founder of Superflux, a studio focused on addressing future challenges through innovative design solutions. Jain emphasized the importance of speculative design, saying, "For us, [the award] is recognition that speculative and future-led design is inherently innovative and entrepreneurial." Meanwhile, Solveiga Pakštaitė, awarded the Emerging Design Medal, is celebrated for her user-centered approach and sustainable design practices. Her project Bump, a tactile temperature-sensitive label for food, aims to reduce waste while aiding visually impaired individuals. "I'm passionate about promoting inclusion and sustainable habits through design," Pakštaitė noted, reflecting on her mission to create a better world through her work.
