Elie Saab Takes Red-Carpet Glamour to H&M with New Collection

Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab, renowned for his exquisite red-carpet gowns, is set to make his designs accessible to a wider audience through a collaboration with H&M. Launching on October 22, the Elie Saab x H&M collection features a range of occasionwear and accessories for men and women, with prices starting at $39.99 for a choker necklace and going up to $429 for a leather jacket.

Saab, who has dressed numerous celebrities including Kate Winslet and Jennifer Lopez, expressed enthusiasm about translating his signature haute couture style into a more mass-market format. His partnership with H&M is particularly timely, according to CEO Elie Saab Jr., as the brand expands its ready-to-wear offerings globally.

The collaboration aims to retain the essence of Saab's designs while ensuring they are accessible, with a focus on timeless elegance rather than fleeting trends. "We believe that today customers want the true essence of a brand and not what seems to be trendy," said Saab Jr.

H&M's creative advisor, Ann-Sofie Johansson, praised the teamwork involved in the project and emphasized the importance of delivering genuine Elie Saab designs. The collection consists of 54 pieces, including powerful menswear and intricately designed womenswear, all crafted with a focus on fit and quality.

Each item in the collection has been meticulously developed to embody the spirit of Elie Saab, ensuring that customers receive an authentic experience. The elder Saab remarked, "You need a shirt, you have it; you need a cape, you have it; a coat? You have it," highlighting the diversity within the line.

As the launch date approaches, both designers are optimistic that the collection will not only attract new customers but also appeal to existing fans of the brand. "The first client of this collection is our client," Saab Jr. stated, reinforcing his commitment to delivering dream pieces for all.
