Fambot Launches AI Tool to Ease Family Logistics

By Editor • September 1, 2026 • 2 min read

In a world where managing family commitments can feel overwhelming, Fambot is taking a unique approach by introducing an 'AI chief of staff' designed specifically for parents. Founded by Greg Karlin, a former Instagram engineer, and David Reich, ex-Uber product head and father of three, Fambot aims to alleviate the mental burden of juggling children's activities, school events, and family logistics.

Reich, who expressed the need for such a tool, explained, "I have three kids and am constantly struggling between doing all these executive jobs — as my wife is doing as well. At the end of the day, I just want to unplug and spend time with my kids, but instead, I'm often tied up managing emails and other tasks.” This sentiment resonates with many parents experiencing information overload from various sources, including WhatsApp groups and school flyers.

Developed over the past year and a half, Fambot functions as a proactive assistant, helping families to stay organized rather than merely reacting to their commands. Users can integrate their emails, calendars, and relevant WhatsApp groups into the platform. The AI then provides a daily checklist and a preview of upcoming events, streamlining the planning process for busy households.

Unlike other AI assistants, Fambot distinguishes itself by providing a web and mobile app interface, expanding the ways users can interact with the service beyond mere text messaging. This could allow for more advanced features tailored to family needs. Fambot also plans to integrate with various applications used by schools and extracurricular activities, positioning itself as a comprehensive communication hub for family-related matters.

With a potential market of 43 million families in the U.S. with children under 16, Reich highlighted the importance of this service, stating, “We know what you’re going to face before you do sometimes, so that you can be prepared for it.” After testing the platform with over 1,000 families, Fambot proved appealing to a diverse range of households, not just those with two working parents.

Currently available for free during its beta phase on iOS, Android, and the web, Fambot is backed by $3.5 million in pre-seed funding. The company plans to introduce a subscription fee in the future, likely aligning with the cost of services like Netflix.
