In a stunning revival of Jeddah's rich history, three exquisite former merchant houses in the UNESCO-listed district of Al Balad have been converted into the first designated Heritage Hotels in Saudi Arabia. This initiative not only highlights the city's storied past but also showcases a seamless blend of traditional architecture and modern amenities.

Each hotel reflects the unique character of the original buildings, with Beit Jokhdar standing out as the crown jewel. This 19th-century structure features nine elegantly designed rooms, including a luxurious Royal Suite complete with a private hammam. The preservation of the building's original features, such as its charmingly uneven floors and ornate tile work, offers guests a genuine glimpse into the past.

Distinctive Designs and Modern Comforts

Beit Al Rayess, characterized by its soothing cream and brown palette, captures a sense of understated elegance while incorporating modern plumbing without losing its historical essence. Meanwhile, Beit Kedwan offers a cozy atmosphere suitable for families or couples, featuring two bedrooms and a private roof terrace for picturesque views of Al Balad.

A Cultural and Culinary Experience

Visitors can easily explore the pedestrian-friendly old town, which is brimming with vibrant souks and artisan workshops. The nearby Tariq Abdulhakim Centre and the anticipated immersive art space by teamLab Borderless add layers of cultural richness to the area.
