Hrishikesh Hirway: From Podcaster to Musician, Embracing Discomfort

Hrishikesh Hirway, a name now synonymous with podcasting success, has navigated the complexities of career evolution as he embraces his true passion—music. Originally embarking on a side project, he found unexpected acclaim with his podcast, Song Exploder, which seamlessly transitioned into a Netflix series.

Although his podcasting ventures have garnered him attention and accolades, including The West Wing Weekly and his collaboration with Samin Nosrat on Home Cooking, Hirway's heart has always belonged to music. This past spring, he marked his return to his musical roots with the release of In The Last Hour Of Light, his first full-length album in 15 years. Reflecting on his journey, Hirway stated, "The most central part of me is this music. It's my primary identity, and it's the thing that I am most passionate about and have been doing before I ever started making podcasts. It's taken me a long time to get back here."
