In a dazzling ceremony held in Paris, Belgian designer Julie Kegels emerged victorious as the recipient of the prestigious LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers on Friday. Kegels was awarded a generous grant of €400,000 (approximately $464,812) along with a year of expert mentorship from LVMH, solidifying her place in the fashion world.
Runner-up honors went to Chinese designer Zane Li, whose label Lii received the Karl Lagerfeld Special Jury Prize, accompanied by €200,000 ($232,406) and a year of business advisory support. Another notable winner was Anil Padia's Yoshita 1967, which claimed the Savoir-Faire Prize, also worth €200,000 and featuring mentorship opportunities. Other finalists in the competitive arena included names like Petra Fagerström, De Pino, and Colleen Allen.
Oura's IPO Filing
In other significant developments, Oura, known for its health intelligence platform and smart ring technology, has filed with the SEC to initiate an initial public offering (IPO). While the specifics regarding share count and pricing remain under discussion, Oura aims to list on Nasdaq under the ticker “OURA.” Major financial players including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and J.P. Morgan are set to lead the offering.
Lululemon Faces Challenges
Meanwhile, Lululemon is navigating turbulent waters as it lowers its annual revenue outlook for the second time. Ahead of the transition to incoming CEO Heidi O’Neill, shares plummeted nearly 20%. For the fiscal year 2026, Lululemon now anticipates net revenues between $10.35 billion and $10.50 billion, indicating a decline of 5% to 7%. The brand is struggling against increasing competition from rivals like Skims and Alo Yoga, particularly in the Americas and China.
