Luca Serafini Unveils Bold Audi A8 Concept with Classic Elegance

By Editor • September 3, 2026 • 1 min read

The Audi A8, a flagship that quietly exited the market in early 2026, has inspired designer Luca Serafini to create an unofficial concept that reimagines the iconic sedan. With the Q9 SUV now taking the lead, Serafini’s vision borrows elements from the Concept C, featuring a sleek silhouette and a distinctive full-width horizontal grille adorned with illuminated four rings.

Serafini’s design embraces simplicity, showcasing six-spoke wheels and a refined titanium-silver finish reminiscent of anodized aluminum. The car’s sleek profile is characterized by flush glass and blacked-out pillars, eliminating visible door handles and emphasizing a minimalist aesthetic. Although the illuminated rings deactivate under regulatory scrutiny, they add a modern touch to the overall appearance.

One of the most debated aspects of Audi's design language, the vertical Singleframe grille, is notably absent in Serafini’s concept. Instead, a broad horizontal opening creates a commanding face for the vehicle, complemented by Audi's signature four-element lighting. The design challenges the notion that large vehicles require an imposing front end, opting instead for a more understated yet confident look.

Serafini’s approach to aerodynamics recalls Audi's legacy of innovation, as he incorporates features like flush glazing and a streamlined body that pays homage to the original A8’s design philosophy. The rear features twin oval exhaust outlets, hinting at a powerful engine option, despite speculation surrounding Audi's electric future.

Through this ambitious project, Serafini showcases the potential of the sedan segment, reminding enthusiasts that the allure of a well-crafted vehicle is still very much alive.
