By Editor • September 2, 2026 • 1 min read

Navigating the tight timeline for Artemis IV, NASA has opted for a more straightforward design for its lunar spacesuits. This strategic shift was revealed in a recent internal meeting, as the agency aims for a human landing at the Moon's South Pole by 2028.

Under the guidance of Artemis Program Manager Jeremy Parsons, NASA will collaborate with Axiom Space to create a "Sortie Suit" for initial missions using SpaceX and Blue Origin landers.
