Jibby Beane, a vibrant presence in London's fashion and art scenes, has passed away at the age of 84. Known for her striking blonde beauty and distinctive style, Beane made her mark as a model and gallery owner, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and charisma.

Throughout the 1990s, Beane graced the catwalks for renowned designer Vivienne Westwood, capturing the attention of style enthusiasts and media alike. Her influence extended beyond modeling; she was a prominent figure in art, famously running a gallery from her Paddington flat where the celebrated artist Martin Creed debuted his work in 1994. Creed would later gain fame as a Turner Prize winner.

Beane's career began in the 1960s, featuring in the iconic Andrex commercial in 1972, which showcased a playful labrador retriever. Her fashion journey also included collaborations with couturier Victor Stiebel. In a personal chapter, she married her childhood sweetheart, Kenneth Beane, in 1963, marking the beginning of a life filled with artistic ventures and fashionable escapades.
