Tasked with a complete renovation, the firm restored the home to its original two-bedroom layout, enhancing both its functionality and its connection to natural light.

The clients, a couple who divides their time between Australia and various international locations, sought a serene retreat amidst the bustling city. Studio Rosenthal designed the space to reflect their lifestyle, ensuring the apartment serves as a calm escape from New York's vibrant atmosphere.

Throughout the residence, a cohesive aesthetic emerges, characterized by new wood flooring and trimless lighting that provide a subtle backdrop. Whitewashed oak cabinetry, complemented by rope wall coverings and a Lapitec kitchen island, seamlessly connect the kitchen and living spaces. The primary bedroom features bespoke elements, including integrated travertine shelving and European oak cabinetry that discreetly houses HVAC units, while Pietra Gray marble creates a striking vanity in the powder room.

Custom-designed pieces enhance the apartment's refined ambiance, such as a walnut console by Jacques Jarrige at the entry and a fully upholstered headboard by Eric Schmitt in the primary bedroom, which cleverly incorporates sconces.
