Samsung Confirms Galaxy S27 Ultra Will Retain Telephoto Camera

In a recent clarification, renowned leaker Ice Universe has dispelled rumors regarding changes to the telephoto camera on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra. Contrary to speculation, the device will maintain its current 5x telephoto module.

Specifically, the S27 Ultra will feature the same 5x 1/2.52” telephoto camera that was present in its predecessor, the S26 Ultra. The rumors suggested an upgrade to a 4x lens coupled with a larger 1/1.9” sensor, but Ice Universe firmly stated that this information is "100% false."

While the 5x telephoto lens remains intact, there has been no confirmation regarding the fate of the 3x 10MP telephoto module. Given the exceptional capabilities of the Galaxy S27 Ultra's 200MP main camera, the potential removal of the 3x module is unlikely to impact users significantly.
