The average price of a gallon of jet fuel in the U.S. has seen a dramatic increase, rising from $2.42 just before the conflict in Iran escalated on February 28 to $4.43 by September 11. This spike in fuel costs has contributed to a rise in domestic airfare, with average prices reaching $390 on August 31, up from $290 the previous year.
