Tamagotchi Rings: A Nostalgic Twist on Wearable Tech

Fans of the beloved Tamagotchi will be thrilled with the launch of the new Tamagotchi ring, crafted to commemorate the digital pet's 30th anniversary. Since its debut in November 1996, Tamagotchi has evolved from a pocket toy to various wearable forms, and now it adorns fingers as a stylish ring.

Manufactured by Bandai Co., this innovative 28mm ring boasts a color LCD screen, allowing users to nurture up to 30 digital pets. Notably, it is the smallest color LCD device globally, featuring extra buttons for enhanced interaction.

Retailing for approximately 7,700 yen (around US$48-$55), the ring is available in three styles and includes a charging case. Pre-orders will close on October 6, 2026, with shipments expected in February 2027. This product taps into nostalgia, bringing back familiar Tamagotchi characters for a new generation.
