Universal Studios Hollywood has kicked off Halloween in spine-chilling style with the launch of Halloween Horror Nights, where excitement quickly turns into terror. On Thursday, visitors flooded the park to explore a terrifying lineup of haunted houses featuring fan-favorite franchises.

New Frights and Familiar Faces

This year’s event boasts a diverse array of haunted experiences, including the much-anticipated “Stranger Things 5” haunted house, which plunges guests into the eerie realm of the Upside Down, and the vampire-laden Club Juke from the film “Sinners.” The popularity was palpable, with “Sinners” seeing a wait time of up to 60 minutes shortly after opening. Other attractions like “Hellraiser,” which made its debut this year, also drew significant crowds, reaching a 50-minute wait.

Ozzy Osbourne's Haunting Tribute

The Lower Lot was a hotspot for horror enthusiasts as Universal honored rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. His themed bar offered enticing cocktails like the Blizzard of Ozz-arita, attracting long lines that extended to about an hour. The “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness” haunted house wowed guests with its diverse portrayals of Ozzy, including a mad scientist and a demonic bat. A chilling scene featuring a train car filled with lifeless bodies accompanied by the melody of “Crazy Train” amplified the eeriness.

Characters Roam the Park

The atmosphere of dread was heightened by roaming characters, including a blood-soaked Nikki from “Obsession,” who weaved through crowds, expressing her twisted affection for guests. This unpredictable interaction added a layer of thrill as guests sought her out amidst the chaos. Meanwhile, the “Stranger Things 5” house offered nail-biting moments as Vecna and a Demogorgon prowled in an immersive setting that featured Castle Byers.
