Venus Williams Unveils Stylish Home Collection with Crate & Barrel

Venus Williams, renowned for her prowess on the tennis court, is once again making waves, but this time in the world of interior design. Partnering with Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids, she has launched a new collection titled "Grand Slam," which merges her passion for design with her athletic background.

Set to debut on September 15, the Grand Slam collection features a range of furniture, lighting, and decor. Williams emphasizes a sophisticated aesthetic, drawing inspiration from her love of tennis while maintaining a focus on timeless design. “Collaborating with Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids on this collection was so much fun,” she shared in an interview. “I’ve always believed that great design should feel timeless, and that was how we wanted to approach the collection.”

Before creating the collection, Williams and her team gathered design inspiration during a trip to Milan, where they were captivated by the luxurious materials and unique designs. This influence is evident in pieces like the Roland Coffee Table, which showcases a sculptural silhouette and rich materials, reminiscent of the high-quality aesthetics they admired in Italy.

The Crate & Kids segment of the collection adopts a slightly different tone. Williams, who has a fondness for mid-century modern design, aims to infuse sophistication into children’s spaces while retaining a sense of playfulness. The Alley Wood and Terrazzo Kids Desk exemplifies this balance, featuring a warm wood frame paired with a vibrant green terrazzo surface, bridging adult design sensibilities with the whimsical nature of a child’s environment. Throughout the collection, Williams successfully combines fun elements with a focus on quality and form.
