In a bid to capture the success seen by Levi's at Target, Wrangler has launched its first-ever women's denim line at the retail giant. This new collection, available both in stores and online, features a range of stylish pieces that reflect a vintage charm.
The collection includes a variety of items such as matching 1970s-inspired striped skirt and vest sets, high-rise bootcut and wide-leg flare jeans, and even a denim trench coat with faux fur trim. Additionally, customers can find tailored denim vests, button-down shirts, skirts, and graphic tees all themed around Western aesthetics. Accessories like belts, handbags, and keychains complement the apparel, enhancing the overall offering.
Looking ahead, a second women’s collection will launch on September 27, introducing more fall-themed denim options. Target's senior vice president of merchandising, Tara Russell, emphasized that this partnership showcases the retailer's commitment to delivering trendy, affordable fashion that resonates with their clientele. With women’s denim currently constituting 10% of Wrangler’s revenue, the brand is keen on expanding its presence in this segment, having previously operated its men’s and women’s lines separately to prioritize growth in women’s apparel.
