In a strategic move to enhance its sports offerings, Apple has partnered with Yahoo Sports to deliver complimentary alternate broadcasts of select games over the next two months. This collaboration will showcase two Major League Baseball games and two Major League Soccer matches via the Yahoo Sports platform.
The arrangement includes free streams of the first two innings of MLB games, specifically featuring the Detroit Tigers facing the Cleveland Guardians on September 4 and the Philadelphia Phillies squaring off against the New York Mets on September 18. Commentary for these initial innings will be provided by Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman from Yahoo Sports’ “Baseball Bar-B-Cast.”
Additionally, soccer fans can look forward to alternate broadcasts of Inter Miami CF's match against Cruz Azul on September 16 and Inter Miami CF versus FC Cincinnati on October 28, with commentary from “The Cooligans” hosts, Alexis Guerreros and Christian Polanco. This initiative aims to educate fans on accessing Apple TV’s full sports offerings while offering a unique viewing experience.
