US Airstrikes Leave Irreparable Damage on Iran's Nuclear Sites

The recent airstrikes by the United States on Iran's nuclear facilities have resulted in extensive destruction, as revealed by satellite imagery from Maxar Technologies. Key sites including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan now display craters and devastation, indicative of the operation's intensity.

More than 125 aircraft participated in the assault, which utilized seven B-2 Spirit bombers among other military assets. The B-2, known for its stealth capabilities, executed precision strikes, deploying 75 bombs and missiles during the operation.

Images taken before and after the strikes show a stark contrast at the Natanz facility, where detailed circuits have been replaced by wreckage. Satellite photos illustrate the scale of damage, with blackened areas indicating destruction from missile impacts. Fordow, a subterranean enrichment site, displayed evident scars from the assault, with numerous craters marking the landscape.

The operation commenced late Friday night and continued into Saturday, with bombers launching from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. Some aircraft diverted to Guam to serve as decoys while others proceeded stealthily towards their targets, completing an 18-hour flight. General Caine confirmed the success of the mission, noting that no Iranian jets were scrambled and their air defense systems failed to detect the incoming forces.

President Donald Trump oversaw the operation from the White House's crisis room. In a national address, he stated that Iran must now choose between "peace or a tragedy greater than what they have witnessed in the last eight days." The military action, targeting the fortified Fordow facility near Qom, is part of a larger strategy to dismantle Iran's nuclear ambitions.

Satellogic, an Argentine company specializing in nanosatellite technology, provided images that highlight the aftermath of the strikes, confirming significant damage across the targeted installations. Initial assessments indicate that the impact of the attacks on Fordow was severe, with at least six visible craters recorded.
