Aesop has reimagined its perfume bottles, showcasing a modern design that aligns with the brand's long-standing philosophy of hospitality and care, according to creative director Aï Kato.
Since its inception 39 years ago in Melbourne, Aesop has revolutionized the beauty retail landscape, introducing elements that have become industry standards. The brand's latest innovation includes a sleek redesign of its perfume line and the launch of a new fragrance, Unforseen Aer.
Kato, who stepped into her role earlier this year, emphasizes that the redesign aims to enhance the connection between consumers and their fragrances. The new bottle features a taller, slender shape with a domed base and a basalt-textured cap, reflecting Melbourne's iconic bluestone.
The accompanying scent is a unique blend of woody, botanical notes and a refreshing minerality, crafted from ingredients like petitgrain, eucalyptus, and geranium. Kato describes Unforseen Aer as a meaningful addition to Aesop's offerings, embodying the brand's commitment to creating lasting, respectful experiences that resonate with both people and the planet.
