After nearly nine months in captivity, American missionary Kevin Rideout has been freed from his abductors in Niger. The announcement came from Serving in Mission International, the organization to which he belongs.
Rideout was taken hostage by unidentified individuals in Niamey last October. Fortunately, he has reportedly been found in good health and is currently under the care of U.S. officials.
In a welcome turn of events, he is expected to reunite soon with his extended family, marking the end of a harrowing ordeal for both him and his loved ones.
