In a significant restructuring move, Apple is laying off over 200 employees, primarily from its Vision Pro and Siri teams, as reported by Bloomberg. Approximately 100 positions will be eliminated from the Vision Pro division, which has struggled to gain traction since its inception.
The remaining cuts affect the Siri team and the Intelligent Systems Experience group, which focuses on AI integration. Apple confirmed these job reductions while stating its intent to evolve its business to enhance user experiences.
This comes as the tech giant navigates a challenging phase, including rising production costs due to a memory shortage linked to AI advancements.
