Apple Maps has begun integrating advertisements, a feature announced back in March. Users can now see paid listings in the 'suggested places' area of search results.
The ads are identifiable by a blue 'ad' icon and will appear prominently in searches. This rollout, which began this week, is set to expand to more users in the US and Canada shortly.
