Balochistan's CM Warns Property Owners Against Terrorist Facilitation

In a stern warning to property owners in Mastung, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that they would be held accountable if their land is used for terrorist activities targeting security forces or government officials. Speaking at the Central Police Office, Bugti emphasized the government's intent to protect innocent civilians, who are often exploited by terrorists as human shields.

Bugti noted that vineyard owners had been repeatedly cautioned against allowing their properties to serve as launching points for attacks. He asserted, "If a security forces’ convoy or the home minister is attacked from a vineyard, the owners cannot say they did not know terrorists were present on their land.” Should these properties continue to be misused, he suggested that the government might need to consider relocating residents or even eliminating those vineyards.

Amidst these warnings, Bugti also announced new digital initiatives aimed at improving governance and public services in Balochistan. The launch of several upgraded police apps, including a women’s safety application, aims to enhance security and facilitate access to justice. Additionally, he pledged funding for further digitalization efforts and affirmed the importance of merit in recruitment processes.
