Bolivia Detains Right-Wing Political Consultant Amid Murder Plot Allegations

Bolivian authorities have apprehended Fernando Cerimedo, a key political adviser to several Latin American right-wing leaders, on charges related to a murder conspiracy. His arrest occurred at an airport in Bolivia as he attempted to return to Argentina.

The charges stem from a violent attack on Nadia Beller, a lawyer and political activist, who was shot while standing outside a hotel in Santa Cruz. Beller, who is currently four weeks pregnant, suspects she was targeted for her opposition to controversial reforms linked to Cerimedo and the Bolivian government.

Beller, who disclosed her prior romantic involvement with Cerimedo from her hospital bed, expressed concern for her safety, emphasizing the potential dangers she faces.
