Brandon Blackwood Joins NYC Business Advisory Council

Renowned designer Brandon Blackwood has been appointed to Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s newly formed Business Advisory Council in New York City. This council will comprise 15 diverse business leaders, convening quarterly to provide strategic insight aimed at advancing the city’s economic landscape.

The council’s role includes advising on essential elements for industry growth, such as infrastructure, talent, and regulatory needs. Notable members alongside Blackwood include Etsy CEO Kruti Patel Goyal, chef Marcus Samuelsson, and Chobani founder Hamdi Ulukaya, representing sectors from finance to health care.

In his statement, Blackwood, who leads Brandon Blackwood New York, expressed pride in joining the council.
