The actress underwent a precautionary full-body MRI, initially motivated by curiosity, and was shocked to find a lesion on her brain.
Despite being deemed healthy by her doctor, Philipps felt compelled to get the scan after seeing it mentioned on Instagram. The results led to an urgent follow-up MRI and a call from her doctor, who informed her that the tumor needed immediate removal. "This is a real tumor, and it’s inside your brain. And Busy, it’s got to come out," he told her, leaving her in shock.
The tumor was identified as an oligodendroglioma, and her quick action to get the scan ultimately saved her life. Following a successful surgery, she is now preparing to portray Natalia Boutella in "Cupertino," emphasizing the importance of being proactive about one's health.
