Charley Crockett and Jack White's Public Feud Heats Up

By Editor • August 19, 2026 • 1 min read

The ongoing spat between country artist Charley Crockett and rock star Jack White has taken a new turn, igniting interest across the music scene. This feud traces back to a decision made by Crockett during his Age of the Ram tour when he dismissed the opening act, Twin Temple, a band known for their Satanic imagery. Crockett's reasoning was simple: he expected a different vibe, likening them to Black Sabbath but concluding, "Not today, Satan."

Following his dismissal, Twin Temple found an ally in Jack White, who invited them to perform at his Los Angeles concert. This collaboration boosted the duo's profile, leading to their late-night television debut. However, the drama resurfaced when Crockett took to social media on August 18 to clarify his position, claiming Twin Temple fabricated the reason for their ousting and accused White of using the situation to boost ticket sales.

Crockett expressed disappointment in White, suggesting that the former White Stripes frontman was more concerned about his image than standing up for his beliefs during his earlier career. While Crockett's comments seemed to target White's credibility, it was the call for a confrontation that prompted White's response. He took to Instagram, relaying the lyrics from Shawn Brown's 1984 rap song "Rappin Duke," suggesting that he was above the fray and dismissing Crockett's attempts to drag him into the spotlight.

As the feud unfolds, both artists continue their tours—Crockett promoting his June album, Age of the Ram, and White showcasing his latest work, Frozen Charlotte, in sold-out venues. Meanwhile, Twin Temple is set to release their new album, Doomed Lovers, on October 9, via Pentagrammaton, further adding to the intrigue of this musical rivalry.
