Comedian and Writer Marty Nadler Passes Away at 80

Marty Nadler, an influential figure in television comedy known for his work on classics like “Happy Days” and “Laverne and Shirley,” passed away on August 26 in Margate, Florida, at the age of 80.
His son, Charlie Nadler, reported that complications from myasthenia gravis led to his father's death. Born in 1945 in the Bronx, Nadler discovered his love for comedy while studying theater at Ithaca College.
Throughout his career, he maintained a close bond with director Garry Marshall, contributing to several of his films. Nadler was also a family man, marrying fellow writer Holly Mascott in 1978, and they raised their son Charlie, who recently honored him with a stand-up act recorded for release in 2027.
