Authorities are intensifying their search for Khaled Malas, a 37-year-old father from Meadow Heights, who has not been seen since August 19, when he was allegedly shot in the chest during a dispute in Wildwood.

Police have arrested 56-year-old Mohammed Aboueid, charging him with intentionally causing serious injury related to the incident, which is believed to involve a $500,000 debt.

Friends and family express deep worry for Malas's safety, fearing he may have succumbed to his injuries. A close friend described him as a humble, devoted family man and a skilled auto truck electrician.
