Passengers at Gstaad-Saanen Airport are in for a unique experience with the latest exhibition at Tarmak22, showcasing the works of renowned artists like Chris Ofili, Wolfgang Tillmans, and Max Ernst. This captivating display, titled 'How to Dance in Flower Fields,' runs from August 6 to September 6, 2026, and is free to the public.
Curated by Antonia Crespí, the exhibition draws inspiration from the vibrant flower fields of the Saanenland region. Alongside the contemporary pieces, visitors can view botanical illustrations and preserved specimens sourced from archives in Zurich, Geneva, and Bern. The exhibition also celebrates the contributions of German biologist Ernst Haeckel, whose intricate drawings from the 19th century bridge the realms of art and science.
Among the featured artists, Max Ernst's surreal blooms and Wolfgang Tillmans’ tender photographs of flowering plants create a dialogue with nature. The show also includes works from Chiara Camoni, Álvaro Urbano, and others, culminating in a rich exploration of botany and artistry.
