Courtney Love recently shared a candid Instagram video about her long-awaited new album, revealing it’s finally complete after years of development. However, she also recounted a harrowing health scare in 2019 that nearly claimed her life.
During her trip to England, Love faced a sudden and severe illness, losing all her hair and dropping to about 100 pounds. "They told me I was going to die. I didn’t believe them," she stated, recalling how her childhood instincts led her to challenge dire predictions by adults.
Despite the grim diagnosis, Love emerged healthier, attributing her recovery to her refusal to accept the fatal prognosis. In her post, she expressed gratitude to collaborators like Billie Joe Armstrong and Michael Stipe, emphasizing that this album is the culmination of her artistic vision. Although no release date was given, Love expressed a strong desire to tour, stating, "I want to tour more than anything, and I want to sing." The iconic artist remains active in various creative endeavors, including her recent documentary work.
