After a tumultuous journey, the animated and live-action blend, Coyote vs. Acme, has finally made its debut in theaters. Director Dave Green took to social media on release day to express his gratitude, declaring, "COYOTE VS. ACME IS FINALLY, GLORIOUSLY, IN THEATERS NOW. Which means one thing. WE WON." He encouraged audiences to enjoy the film with family and friends, highlighting the communal experience of laughter in theaters.

This film, featuring stars like Will Forte, John Cena, and Lana Condor, follows the iconic Wile E. Coyote as he sues Acme Corporation over its faulty products in his endless pursuit of the Road Runner. However, the road to its release has been anything but straightforward.

Initially slated for HBO Max, Warner Bros. shelved the film, citing a strategic pivot towards theatrical releases and a potential tax write-off of $30 million. The decision sparked outrage among fans and the film's cast, who rallied for its release. In March 2025, Ketchup Entertainment acquired the global distribution rights for approximately $50 million, paving the way for the film's theatrical launch.

Green emphasized the significance of this release, stating it serves as a testament to the dedication of everyone involved in the film's making. He noted that the film's journey is a reflection of the resilience and support from the audience, calling it a "victory" for all who fought for its survival.

In a heartfelt response, Forte echoed Green’s sentiments, highlighting themes of hope and community present in the film. He thanked supporters, acknowledging that their advocacy played a crucial role in bringing Coyote vs. Acme to the big screen. Producer James Gunn also praised Green's unwavering spirit throughout the challenges, reinforcing the idea that true character shines through adversity.
