Deadly Drone Strikes Hit Shopping Mall in Kryvyi Rih

A devastating drone attack by Russian forces targeted the largest shopping mall in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, resulting in significant casualties. According to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city's defense council, the strike on Sonyachna Halereya ignited a massive fire, claiming the lives of 15 individuals and injuring 130 others, including 23 children.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the assault as a blatant act of terrorism, noting that the drones returned half an hour later to strike rescue crews responding to the initial attack.
Dmytro Lubinets, Ukraine's human rights ombudsman, emphasized that such bombings intentionally target civilian spaces, where people gather for shopping and leisure. Meanwhile, Russian sources claim that the mall's warehouses were being utilized by Ukraine's military, a justification previously used to rationalize attacks on civilian infrastructure.
