The Walt Disney Company and Epic Games have embarked on a groundbreaking venture that merges the realms of theme parks and gaming with the launch of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run | Fortnite.
This innovative experience allows guests waiting for the Smuggler’s Run attraction at Disney parks in Orlando and Anaheim to embark on a special mission. Successful participants will be rewarded with an exclusive Forsworn Trooper Outfit in the new Fortnite adventure, Smugglers Gambit.
Sean Shoptaw, executive vp of Disney Games and Digital Entertainment, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating it marks the first instance of a Disney ride transcending its physical space to connect with a digital game. Epic Games President Adam Sussman noted that this partnership showcases the potential of interactive entertainment, allowing fans to enjoy Star Wars narratives both at Disney parks and within Fortnite.
