Exciting News: National Treasure 3 is in Development

Fans of the National Treasure franchise can rejoice as director Jon Turteltaub confirmed that a third film is officially in the works. During a live podcast taping in Philadelphia, Turteltaub revealed, "It’s happening. You’re the first people I’ve said this out loud to… It’s finally real." He emphasized the unpredictability of Hollywood, humorously noting that unforeseen events could alter the film's production.

In addition to the announcement, Turteltaub shared that a script has been completed and received approval from Disney. While no casting details have been disclosed, the first two films, starring Nicolas Cage, were significant box office successes, grossing $347 million and $459 million respectively.
